There will be an award for best in:
- Research We take off from the challenge posed by Paring Bert [Albert Alejo] for volunteers during the 4th National Volunteer Summit in April 2011 to take research as an indispensable tool to do effective volunteer work. A means to improve strategies and processes for volunteers/volunteer managers and advocates to better understand and best respond to the main issues and challenges of a changing societal domains, and be able to propose ideas in shaping the national volunteering agenda.
- Information (meaning, marketing/ promotions/documentation – in print, broadcast, new media i.e., social networking sites, blogs, websites, etc.) Performs practical/innovative strategies in promoting value of volunteering; provides volunteer opportunities in support to national volunteering spectrum where information is an essential tool for social, political, and economic progress.
- Coordination Award recognizes organization/program’s relationship with partner organizations/communities, beneficiaries and other agencies it works with; practicing effective volunteering strategy/ies for collaboration in achieving efficient project delivery.
- Exchange Existing practice/s on volunteer/staff exchange which strengthen the human resource of the organization for training, research, and project implementation purposes.
- [Volunteer] Nurturance Recognizes how the program/organization takes care or facilitate needed formation of its volunteers.
